Job purpose

As an Engineering Apprentice with Network Rail, you’ll be at the heart of Scotland’s Railway, working on national projects, embracing the latest tech and gaining hands on experience that will take your career full steam ahead.

This opportunity is open to people from all walks of life. Whether you’re fresh out of school, switching careers, or looking for a hands-on, rewarding role, we welcome your unique perspective and experiences.

Working alongside experienced engineers at one of our depots, you’ll help maintain our thousands of bridges, signals and hundreds of our level crossings, ensuring Scotland’s Railway keeps moving.

The scheme lasts for three years. You’ll kick off year one with our training provider in East Kilbride, before moving into a placement at a Network Rail depot for years two and three. Get ready to embrace all weather conditions because we’re out there around the clock, come rain or shine but don’t worry, we’ll provide all the gear you need to stay safe, warm and comfortable.

WHAT WILL I LEARN
