The Apprenticeship Ambassador Project aims to inform young people about apprenticeships as a positive pathway. DYW Tay Cities has a cohort of passionate apprentices from various businesses across Tayside. See the company logo list below. These Apprentice Ambassadors share their experiences to inspire young people about the diverse apprenticeship options and the benefits they offer. They engage with young people through school assemblies, classroom talks, parents’ evenings, apprenticeship job fairs, and online social media content to help spread the word.
Benefits for an Apprentice
Being part of the project brings many opportunities. Alongside joining a group of young people who are on a similar career journey, you will be invited to our monthly online masterclasses. These masterclasses will help you develop crucial skills for engaging with young people and advancing your career. We leverage our valuable employer contacts to deliver these sessions. Previous masterclasses have included topics such as confidence building, effective networking, navigating LinkedIn, the importance of a growth mindset, reaching your full potential, and conflict resolution in the workplace.
