Hope the Whale visits Angus

🌊🐳Hope the Whale has been travelling around Angus this week, visiting four schools across the area and giving full year groups the opportunity to step inside an inflatable humpback whale.

Lorna and Lauren from Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) delivered engaging sessions at each school, helping young people learn more about whales and dolphins, the importance of our oceans and the impact that pollution and plastic waste can have on marine life.

Inside Hope, pupils had the chance to try their hand at identifying different whale and dolphin species using binoculars, while Finlay challenged groups to a game of Ocean Snakes and Ladders. Teams had to answer questions about plastic pollution and its impact on our oceans and the animals that live there.

It was a great combination of learning and interactive activities, giving young people the opportunity to explore marine conservation in a really memorable way.

A huge thank you to Lorna and Lauren from WDC for bringing Hope to Angus again 🐋🌊
