Full Time

Salary: £23,422-£28,000 per annum

What is the role?

Our Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship programme lasts for four years and combines part-time attendance at university finishing with a BSc (Hons) in Business Management and work-based experience. You will be part of our Project Services team and this programme will support your development and expand your knowledge and experience to work towards becoming a Document Controller, Planner, or Project Coordinator.

Within Transmission, our projects include works to reinforce our existing transmission network, construct new overhead lines, lay new sub-sea cables and increase the capacity of our substations to accommodate new renewable generation schemes, as we move away from fossil fuels towards our net zero future. As part of these projects, our Project Services team provides vital support to ensure they run efficiently from development to delivery stage.

Whilst on the programme you will rotate amongst the different teams to gain experience of the key areas of Project Services before deciding your preference to specialise in one of the listed areas;

Document Controlling – Responsible for the management and control of project/business documents and records and ensuring that the Project Teams operate in accordance with set processes and procedures.

Planning – Planning projects across the full project lifecycle including producing and maintaining client perspective programmes that support the project work processes, milestones, and deadlines. Liaising with project teams, contractors, site management, and commercial teams to effectively report on project progress.

Project Coordination – Including administrative tasks, information management, and support activities. Establishing and maintaining quality governance for administrative processes, data gathering and analysis, and multi-tasking to meet demanding priorities.

You will gain real experience, build an invaluable network, and develop a unique set of skills which will shape your career. Due to our size and diversity, we can offer you a structured yet challenging development programme where you’ll have the support of the Learning and Development team and a business mentor to assist you in reaching your full potential.
