Forestry Pre-apprenticeship (6 months full-time employment)

Ringlink Scotland Ltd has partnered with Scottish Forestry and SCRUC to offer a new bespoke program for the Forestry sector.
Forestry Pre-apprenticeship (6 months full-time employment)
The programme is funded by Skills Development Scotland with 8 places available for the upfront training induction commencing in June at SRUC Barony Campus, Dumfries.
All candidates need to be a minimum of 16 years old due to employment legislation and the machinery they will be operating. The target audience is therefore 16 – 21-year-olds.
Employment placements will then follow for 26 weeks working full-time from July onwards.
The upfront residential training induction held at SRUC Barony, Dumfries, and will offer a range of activities and training as follows:
• Certificate of Work Readiness (CWR SCQF Level 4)
• Emergency First Aid + F
• Health & Safety Awareness
• Manual Handling Awareness
• Introduction to Forestry Machinery
• Introduction to Forestry Process
• Brush Cutter
• Introduction to Saws
• Forestry simulator
