Pupils from Arbroath High School recently visited the iconic Glamis Castle with their Languages department, and had the unique experience of a guided tour delivered in both French and English.
Glamis Castle is not only one of Scotland’s most popular tourist attractions but is also a workplace where speaking more than one language is a real asset. From welcoming international visitors to delivering multilingual tours, the team showed just how valuable language skills can be in the world of work.
This visit was a brilliant example of how learning languages at school can open doors to exciting careers in tourism, heritage, and beyond.
