An inspiring evening at Harris Academy celebrating creativity in all its forms 🎭🎨🎶
Led by S6 pupils Cian and Annaliese, with support from School Coordinator Sarah Cooke and teachers Mr Haxton and Miss Allan, the event was all about giving senior phase work the spotlight it deserves. Too often, incredible projects are performed once or submitted for marking and never seen again so this event changed that.
From art and design to music, drama, model making and short films, the range of talent on display was outstanding. The audience also heard from industry professionals including Andrew B., Rachel White and Luke McDonald during engaging Q&A sessions.
Creatives including Lauren Herd, Taylor Dyson, Calum Kelly and Leyla Hussain supported the evening,
Drama performances featured powerful extracts from A Streetcar Named Desire and The Things I Know to Be True, alongside original monologues, while talented Harris musicians took to the stage to round off the evening.
A fantastic showcase of young people taking the lead, sharing their talents, and highlighting the value of creative work 👏
