Winners of the MVV Challenge Fund 2019 Announced
As part of their Community Benefits programme MVV Environment Baldovie Ltd recently choose three local schools, Braeview Academy, Harris Academy and Monifieth High School as the winners of their 2019 Challenge Fund. This fund provides up to £5,000 to schools in the Dundee and Angus area for projects in the areas of engineering, construction and waste reduction.Read more

Traditional Building Skills Event
On Monday 27 August and Tuesday 28 August the very first Dundee Traditional Building Skills event took place at City Square. This event was co-ordinated by Historic Environment Scotland and Scottish Traditional Building Forum, with local support from the DYW Dundee & Angus team. Forster Roofing, Historic Environment Scotland and Dundee & Angus College provided hands-on opportunities for pupils on the day.

Grove & NCR collaboration gives pupils real life engineering experience!
Grove Academy and NCR have recently completed a project where pupils have been able to gain invaluable experiences of practical engineering. Working in partnership together, 6th year pupils and NCR staff have taken part in the 2018 MATE international ROV competition .
Partnership Week
This week we (DYW D&A) have run a social media campaign to promote partnership work between schools/colleges and employers. During the week we have promoted some of the amazing partnerships in Dundee and Angus, presented a company and school with a partnership certificate for their great work, and shown why partnerships are so beneficial.Read more
Team Spirit at St Paul's RC Academy
Last week the DYW D&A team co-ordinated a second successful Team Spirit event for S1 pupils in St Paul’s RC Academy, Dundee, the first being held in September at Webster’s High School, Kirriemuir.
