As part of their Community Benefits programme MVV Environment Baldovie Ltd recently choose three local schools, Braeview Academy, Harris Academy and Monifieth High School as the winners of their 2019 Challenge Fund. This fund provides up to £5,000 to schools in the Dundee and Angus area for projects in the areas of engineering, construction and waste reduction.

Alison from our team went along to the disbursement ceremony at MVV facility on Forties Road where the winners were presented with a cheque by MVV’s Managing Director Paul Carey.

The judges were impressed with the applications, which included bids for a STEM kit car and plans to build an eco-friendly greenhouse from empty plastic bottles.

DYW D&A promoted the fund to local schools so are delighted to see some really interesting projects being funded and look forward to seeing the projects being implemented after the summer break.
