March is a busy month, with lots of opportunities.

Scottish Tourism Month takes place in March, an opportunity to celebrate the incredible, thriving and diverse industry that forms a major part of Scotland’s workforce and a key aspect of our national economy. Large and small events occur all over the country to share best practice, promote new opportunities and encourage us to be bigger and better.

The first week of March is also Apprenticeship Week, dedicated time to nationally and locally recognise the extraordinary opportunities that apprenticeships offer to young people, employees, businesses and Scotland as a whole. World Heritage Day

18th April is World Heritage Day. Scotland is home to six recognised World Heritage sites, as diverse as Scotland itself.

“World Heritage Sites are locations that have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Programme list of sites of outstanding cultural or natural importance to the common heritage of humankind.” We have six in our tiny country. That alone is an indication of the diversity and potential inherent in Scotland and its people.Read more


Scottish Tourism Month Comes to a Close

The end of March brings to a close Scottish Tourism Month. This is the first year that a whole month has been dedicated to events, activities, talks and more to celebrate and promote the tourism industry in Scotland. Developing from a single week to a full month, this is further proof of the growth of the sector and its importance to Scotland.Read more

Rachel recently attended Business Angus’ Open Ready Roadshow. This was an opportunity for businesses and organisations throughout Angus and the surrounding area to understand how they could benefit from the 147th Open coming to Carnoustie and how they could connect with each other to promote the incredible brand of Carnoustie and Angus.Read more

Angus Travel & Tourism Conference

The first Angus Travel & Tourism Conference (Monday 23rd October) was a great success. Organised by Developing the Young Workforce Dundee & Angus, supported by Business Angus and held at Carnoustie Golf Hotel. Almost 100 pupils from five Angus secondary schools (Arbroath Academy, Arbroath High, Forfar Academy, Monifieth High and Websters) attended along with representatives from 19 local and national tourism businesses and organisations.Read more

An absolutely incredible event at Dundee & Angus College for all pupils studying Travel & Tourism in Dundee. 
The day kicked of with talks illustrating the huge range of careers and opportunities available in the Travel & Tourism, both internationally and locally due to the huge changes happening at Dundee's Waterfront.Read more
